The advancement of pelvic and abdominal health physical therapy depends on research requiring the participation of investigators, research assistants and participants. Motivational Interviewing in Physical Therapy Practice

Open to: Licensed Physical Therapist Members, Student Physical Therapist Members

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a hot topic in physical therapy, but there is limited research about it in our profession. Researchers at the University of New Mexico Division of Physical Therapy are investigating the awareness, utilization, and perceptions of motivational interviewing in PT practice. Obtaining a large sample across many regions and practice settings is necessary to accurately describe MI in PT practice.
